Do all submitted documents have to deal with individuals with the surname Mendenhall?
No. We are interested with obtaining information about any Mendenhall descendants, regardless of their surname.
Are any documents available for viewing?
Yes. Click here to go to the index of available documents. We are still experimenting with document formatting. Suggestions are welcome.
How do I submit a document or a photo?
If you have the negative of a photo, make a print from it

What if I don't have a negative for a photo?
I have a scanner and my own web site. What is the best way to get my document/photo to you?
Scan the document/photo and save it as a GIF or JPEG file. Upload it to your web site and email the URL for the image to us. We will download the photo from your web site and format it for the archive.
Is it OK if I send you a document as an attachment to e-mail?
Yes. This may be the simplest way for you to get the document to us. Please send documents in GIF or JPEG format to Bill Finch
Whom do I contact if I want to volunteer?
Contact one of the members of the Documents Committee and let them know how you would like to help.

What is the Documents Committee?
The purpose of the Documents Committee is to gather and archive documents that pertain to the Mendenhall Family in America and to their English ancestors.

Be sure to include pertinent descriptions of photos.
Please include return postage if you want materials returned. Do NOT send negatives.
Although black and white xerox images of documents usually scan well, black and white xerox images of photos do NOT scan well. COLOR xerox copies of photos (make a color copy even if the original is B&W) usually make adequate originals for scanning.
